31st October 2011 Change at the top for absence management specialist FirstCare

_

Leading absence management specialist FirstCare has announced the appointment of David Hope as its new Chief Executive Officer.

David succeeds former managing director Aaron Ross, who has left the company to pursue other projects.  David previously held the position of Chief Financial Officer at FirstCare, and will take on the development of the company’s absence management and occupational health services to both public and private sector clients.

A qualified chartered accountant, David spent seven years in accountancy practice before moving to city-based Mint Partners as Finance Director.  Prior to joining FirstCare David held the positions of Chief Operating Officer and Finance Director at AIM-listed medical recruitment consultancy Pinnacle Staffing Group Plc.

David Hope, Chief Executive of FirstCare, said:

“The services that FirstCare provide are becoming more and more relevant in today’s challenging economic climate. It is vital that employers have plans in place to manage staff absences so that output and productivity do not suffer. At the same time, when the pressures in the workplace are arguably greater than ever before, it is important that employers recognise the need to offer professional advice and support to their workforce.

“I look forward to working more closely with our customers and contributing to the future success of FirstCare.”
