Aaron Ross, Chief Executive
Aaron Ross is the Chief Executive of FirstCare, the UK’s largest outsourced absence management company turning over nearly £5m and covering more than 100,000 employees.
In November 2004 and at just 24 years old, Aaron co-found FirstCare. Two-years later, Aaron was going it alone and by 2008 the business had grown into the UK’s leading outsourced absence management organisation and had a turnover of £2m.
In November 2009, FirstCare acquired Active Healthcare Partners (AHP), almost doubling the number of employees covered by its services.
By successfully demonstrating how FirstCare reduces absence in large organisations Aaron has become an authority voice on employee absence in national and trade press. Both the unique outsourced model and the comprehensive real-time data on employee absenteeism makes FirstCare the leading voice on sickness absence.
Aaron is a firm believer that enterprise can be fostered and is passionate about helping open doors for young people who may not have the support or networks around them to realise their potential. He divides his time between business activities and is heavily involved with community initiatives and charitable organisations.
Aaron has a number of charitable commitments, he is a Trustee of the Diana Award – a charity formed after the death of Princess Diana, which recognises, rewards and inspires outstanding young people who make selfless contributions to their communities and improve the lives of others. He is also Chairman of the Front Runner Programme which plays an essential part in identifying and developing the leaders of tomorrow, in order to provide them with the inspiration, knowledge and connections they need to produce positive change.
Aaron lives in central London and is an avid cyclist, mountaineer and skier.
